Wijayas World: Putri's 10th Birthday.

We started the day off by having her favorite chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. Melati and Jonas also wanted some candles on their pancakes. So we sang a Happy Birthday song for Putri and then everyone blew out their own candles.

After getting her annual Birthday blessing from her dad, Putri went to school and she didn't forget to bring the goodie bags that we made the night before to share with her friends at school.

When everyone came home from school, they did their homework and practice their piano right away so we could take them to BounceU to celebrate Putri's birthday. At BounceU, everyone can bounce all they like, just like this....

It was Jonas' idea to have this yummy "Rice Krispy birthday treat ". Since no one in our family likes to eat cake or cupcakes, let alone a birthday cake that has lots of icing and other stuff on, we decided to have this plain rice Krispy treats as our "cake". Thank you for the idea Jonas, everyone enjoy this rice krispy birthday treat.

The first present that Putri opened was a complete set of Lemony Snicket's books, Series Of Unfortunate Events. She was so happy to get those books because she's been wanting to have these set to add to her library.

I love her reaction when she opened the next present. Yes, she just scored a brand new cellphone of her own. Putri has been wanting to have her own celllphone for sometime now but we never gave her one since we don't see the need of it. But We decided to give her this cellphone because she has earned it. She is a very responsible young lady, she's been showing a great example to her family and she showed us how much she's grown spiritually and academically. She knows her boundaries, she obeys and love her parents, she's shown a greater loev for her siblings and she's very caring and nurturing toward her family. She earned this phone. So we are very happy to give her this priviledge. We know that she can manage and be responsible for this new responsibilty.
