Hawaii Vacay Recap

yay....!!! I finally got my camera back today, I am super excited. We accidentally left our camera in the hotel where we stayed. I actually didn't realize that my camera was missing until about 3 days after we got home. I couldn't find my camera anywhere so I decided to call the hotel where we stayed. Sure enough they had my camera in their lost and found. Thanks to the hotel personnel who had practice their honesty and shipped my camera to my address. I am eternally grateful because there's so much memories in that little gadget.

So here is a little recap of our Hawaii vacay

First day we were there, the weather wasn't so kind to us. It was raining heavily all day. ( notice how heavy the rain was).
Aloha Tower @ 9 AM. The sky was black, the ocean was dark, it was foggy, it was bad!!!!

This pretty much how the weather looked like for the first week of our stay.

This pictures were taken inside the cruise (we were about to go to Maui) before the captain decided to go back to the dock and cancel the cruise for the day. I was so glad with the captain's wise decision because the heavy rain and the raging waters had scared the heck out of me. It was interesting to see how my kids reacted differently when the raging waters shook the ship and knocked everything down. Melati and Putri put their hands up and said " weee......weeee...." every time the ship got shaken. While Jonas was crying his eyes out and said " I wanna go home..." ( notice Hendra trying to calm him down). Well, I was as scared as Jonas when that happened. So I was just glad that the captain cancelled the cruise for all our safety and to avoid the raging waters.

The next day, we went to Dole plantation, it was still raining...but we managed to have fun. We had so much fun riding the Pineaple Express and finding our way out of the Pineaple Garden Maze. I felt like I was in heaven here...I love pineaple so much and Dole has all kind of pineaple things you can think of. Pineaple candies, pineaple smoothies, pineaple ice cream, pineaple pies, etc. and yes...of course Fresh Pineaple....they're the best!

We had a chance to go to Pearl Harbor. It was a very educating experience as well as entertaining . Surprisingly, Putri loved Pearl Harbor and enjoyed the tour so much. Her loved for this country and the place where she was born has grown in her heart. We took putri to Pearl Harbor dozen times and we always went back here every time we visit Hawaii but this time she said that she enjoyed it more than ever

Of course we had to stop by the Aloha Stadium outdoor swap meet for some souvenirs. We could get all kind of hawaiian stuff cheaper here than any other place. Melati loves her pink ukulele.
I still have more pictures to upload and I'll post them soon, so stay tuned....
