Hawaii trip cont....

a day at Polynesian Cultural center.

We spent our anniversary day at PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center). The weather was beautiful, Hendra went out golfing in the morning and then we headed to PCC just in time for the Canoe show, a polynesian dance show that is performed on a moving canoe. We all love the canoe show. Watching this show had taken me back in time when Hendra used to work as a canoe guide. I spent most of my days off going to PCC just to watch Hendra working...it was so much fun.

Samoan Village is our most favorite stop. We visited Samoan village countless times during our times at Byuh, they always gives us a good laugh every single time.

We took the Wiki Wiki tour. This tour takes us around BYUH campus and Laie Temple because BYUH, PCC, and the church are supporting each other. All the workers working at PCC are BYUH students who are members of the church. I encouraged everyone to go to PCC and enjoy the beauty and the hospitality of Polynesia all in one place. It is a bit pricey but I am so glad to know that the money they earn is to support students at BYUH, it's a money well spent since it is a non profit organization. After all, I was one of those students attending Byuh and working at PCC years ago.

Inside the Laie Temple Visitor Center.

Gotta have family picture in front of the Temple. We love this temple so much. We had so much memories in this temple. Besides that it is the temple we were married in, it also is the temple that we had our first temple experiences such as baptism for the dead, our own endowment, family sealings, and other temple works. and yes of course the beauty of this temple is breathtaking.

Getting leis and picture taken before we had our dinner at Ali' i Luau. We actually picked the Luau because they have the best food and entertainment and also because we love watching cousin Benny.

Gotta have Luau's Pinacolada..they're the best!!!

At this Luau, everyone whose celebrating their wedding anniversary were asked to come up to the stage and ask their wives to dance to Hawaiian wedding song. Cousin Benny, the host of Ali' i Luau, called Hendra by name to come up to the stage and Hendra asked me " May I have this dance?". Cousin benny answered for me and he said " yes...I will dance with you honey". It was hilarious how cousin Benny could impersonate my voice....oh well of course because he is one of the best impersonators. He can mimic and impersonate celebrities' voices. My favorite is when he sings Louis Armstrong's "wonderful World" He is awesome. He also plays ukulele like nobody's business.
I had misty eyes dancing to this song....I can't believe it..its been 10 years since Hendra and I had this dance. My heart was full of joy. 10 wonderful years has passed and I still in love with him...now more than ever. I am so grateful for him, he is such a fine man. Hendra is very humble...down to earth. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments in life. I am looking forward for more wonderful years to come.

After the dinner show ended, Cousin Benny came up to us and gave us his big hawaiian hug and wished us a happy anniversary. It was a very happy anniversary indeed.

We wrapped up the night by watching the night show, it is the Grand finale of all the shows. We all enjoyed the show and had a really good time. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
