Time Out at Cedar Breaks

The day after our ward trunk-or-treat, we decided to have a little getaway. We had a four day weekend and the weather was just perfect. We went up to Brian Head and stayed at a cabin where the area is very secluded and very quiet. We had so much fun playing in the snow and just enjoying our time away from the crowded Las vegas.

Our Kids loved being in the mountain and playing in the snow.

Kids exploring the snowy mountain

More exploring

Melati always had to have a snow ball in her hand wherever she goes.

They wanted to make snowmen so they started by making little snow balls.

Jonas needed more snow for his snowman, while Putri and Melati still exploring in the background.

Putri made a little snow ball

She rolled and rolled the snow

Untill it became a big ball of snow

While Melati is getting her snowman ready.

Putri's big snowball was too heavy to be carried alone. She asked Jonas to help her carry it to the park where they're going to build their snowmen.

I thought they were making snowmen, But Jonas ended up making "Snow fort tower" as he calls it.

While Melati and Putri ended up with a snow fort and lots of snow balls that they use for snow ball fights later on.

The Fight was ON, It was Parents Vs The kids. Of course Hendra and I won the fights. It was so much fun attacking the kids with snow balls that they created. All in all, We had a blast at Cedar Breaks enjoying our getaway time with my lovely family.

Melati and Jonas loves dancing like this ever since they were younger. They can do this all day long....

I think this is one of those moments that I love to cherish forever, when siblings are getting along just just fine.

Halloween school Parade and Ward Trunk 'r Treat

For some reasons, Halloween is just not one of my favorites celebrations. So when my kids decided that they wanted to wear their last year's costumes this Halloween, I was so very happy. And of course, I just love them even more for making my wallet happy as well.

We were invited to come to the annual halloween school parade and party at our kids' school. It was kind of hard getting a picture of 3 kids who are in 3 different classes and grades. Most of these pictures were from Melati's class because I was her teacher's parent volunteer that day.

Putri had invited her friends from school, Abreeah and Shai, to come to our ward trunk or treat. They had a really good time in our ward. Abreaah is taking lessons with the missionaries and is ready to be baptized this month.

We all had a good time trunk-or-treating with family and good friends. Notice everyone was wearing their coats and jackets because it was very cold that evening. I guess wearing last year's costume was not a bad idea after all.

This was the only pictures of Jonas that I got from the school Parade. I found Jonas in the playground after the parade and I managed to take this pictures.

Kodak Moments

Here are some of the recent shots I got of our kids. Time sure flies so quickly. Our kids look so grown up now.

Swing it Like a Pro

Hendra is a big fan of golf and he coaches golf for kids. So every now and then, I'd tag along with him coaching the kids. I love watching the kids practice in the driving range while enjoying the beautiful weather.

Hendra Swings it like a pro.

Melati started to show interest in playing golf.

So Hendra gave Melati a little lesson on how to swing the club and hit the ball.

But most of the time, Melati would just hanging out with me watching everyone sharpening their golf skills.

Jonas and Putri are getting really good at golfing. I think one of these days, these kids are going to beat Tiger Wood at the course.watch out Tiger!!!

Jonas' First Loose tooth

Jonas had his first tooth fell out last week. ( he actually had 2 teeth fell out that day). He was so so happy about it because he knew that he would get some money from tooth fairy.

He kept on checking his teeth to see if there were more teeth falling out hoping to get more money from tooth fairy.

Sure enough, he found two $1 bills under his pillow the next morning.

Jonas thought that two $1 bills for 2 fell out teeth is awesome.

Soaking up the sun

Summer wasn't over for us yet, So last week we went to California and enjoyed our stay by going to the beach everyday. Yes, we did four beaches in four days. These are some of the photos between Huntington beach, Laguna beach, Newport beach, and Venice beach. It was our last hurrah before it gets cold and before the kids go back to school next week. Fun and Enjoy!!

Shopping bag Kite

Who would have thought that Shopping bags could be so much fun to play with. I used to play this shopping bag kite as a child. History repeats itself, now my kids enjoy playing shopping bags kite as much as I did when I was a kid. They had so much fun flying the shopping bags.

True Love

Just the other day Jonas told me that I was his True Love. He said that he will love me forever and ever and ever and ever..........awww so sweeettt!!
Jonas picked a flower and he was trying to put it on my ear

Jonas is my sweetest little boy. He always tells me how much he loves me every single day. Instead of saying 'Thank You' for things I do for him, he says 'I love you Mommy'. I love you, too Jonas. You are indeed my true love....

Melati

It seems like just yesterday the kids were back to school. Now we are on track break.....already?? Yep, School is out for 3 weeks for us. Our kids were in school for 3 weeks and now we're on track break. I guess with the new track that we're in, we're gonna be off school every 3 weeks.'
Eventhough the kids are on track break, we always try to keep them busy. And I've been enjoying watching them grow, especially watching Melati learning new things is amazing. Melati makes learning process sooo much fun.

video
Melati has memorized almost half of the articles of faith since last year. Not bad for a 4 yr old.

Melati has been enjoying taking Ukulele lesson from Hendra.

No More Bribes

Melati has never liked any hair clip or any hair accesories on her head ever since she was a baby. She always likes to wear her hair down. Every time I wanted to do her hair, I always have to bribe her. And if I get lucky, she will let the hair clips stay on her hair for 5 minutes. She usually will take any thing off of her hair as soon as she gets the bribe, what a kid!!!
But lately Melati has come to her senses that as a girl she has to look beautiful by getting different kind of hairdos. Check her out wearing some of hair accesories. She looks simply adorable.

Melati is wearing a head band, she looks absolutely beautiful.

She even let me braid her hair.

aww....she looks so cute with her pony tails.

She also has come to love braids and beads....Yay for me because I don't have to fight her anymore when I wanna do her hair. Doesn't she look beautiful??!!

Downtown Disney

Everytime we go to Disney land, we never really had a chance to visit Downtown Disney. So last week we spare some time to go to Downtown Disney and we got a chance to check out some fun stuff they have going on.

Trying on some disney character hats was a lot of fun.

Melati loves posing for cameras, but this time she is posing as a serious looking child..lols!!

We also got to watch the Disneyland fireworks up close. It was so priceless to see our kids' faces amazed at the fireworks. After the fireworks ended, Jonas said "this is the best day ever!!" over and over again followed by his sisters. On the way home all three kids kept saying "this is the best day ever" at the same time as if they were singing a choir.

After all the walking at Disney downtown, we took the tramp to the parking lot. Love Love this tramp so much.....It saved me so much energy and spared me so much pain of walking back to the parking lot. But over all, we had a blast in California, as always. We are looking forward to another fun vacation in California.

Huntington beach

When we got to Huntington beach, The kids were just watching the waves.

They watch and watch the waves some more. They weren't so sure if they wanted to get wet or not.

But as soon as they touched the water, they couldn't resist not to play with the waves.

And before I know it, they got really really wet and drowned in the fun of catching and running from the waves.

How fun!!!
Super Fun!!!

Everytime we go to a beach, Melati always loves to be buried in the sand. She always wants to be buried as a "mermaid".

We stayed at the beach untill the sun was setting. It was such a beutiful scenery.

I am just so happy that I got to share this beautiful moment with my family.

Flying kite right under the sunset is such a breathtaking scenery.

We were so glad to be away from the heat of Las Vegas and got to enjoy the beautiful beaches of california. Watching the sun setting was indeed the best part of the day.

Fresh from the Ocean

Over the weekend, we went out fishing with Susilo at Newport beach, CA. We went out early in the morning so we could catch some fish.

Susilo gave Putri some lessons about fishing. Putri enjoys fishing so much, especially when Hendra and Susilo let her reel in the pole when they caught a fish, Fun!!

A lot of surfers trying to catch the waves early in the morning. We love watching them surf the ocean, it was a beautiful day to catch some waves.

Hendra thought I was bringing some 'bad luck' because everytime I was around, they never caught any fish. But as soon as I went away, they caught some fish. They thought that I scared the fish away...
anyway, so this was pretty much what I did at the pier. watching the ocean, the waves, the birds, the whales, the surfers, and some other activities that people do early in the morning at the beach. I enjoyed it so much though, I love the sounds of the waves hitting the shore. Such a peaceful and happy feeling.

While Hendra and Susilo were busy fishing, we went for a walk and did some whale watching.

This picture is too precious. Jonas offered to carry Melati up the pier so that she won't get tired....How adorable!!

Being a big brother that he is, Jonas taught Melati how to look in the telescope so she could spot some whales.

Putri loves whale watching too. It was an absolute fun to see the surfers and the whales racing each other to catch the waves...super fun!!!

This is one of the whales that my camera caught. It was one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen.

When I went back to the pier, Hendra and Susilo were already done fishing, sure enough they caught lots of fish and they were cleaning them up so we could cook them at home and have them for lunch. Hendra is showing us his catch of the day. He just can't wait to eat them.

We struck a pose before we left the pier and headed home to eat our lunch.

Deep fried fish for the kids, they love it!!

and Deep fried fish with some spicy sauce for us, ehhmmm...yum..yum!!!

Fresh from the Ocean.....This was the best lunch ever!!! Big Thanks to Susilo for his great company and showing us a great time while we were in California. Can't wait till we go back there again for more fun.

A visit to St. George, UT.

We had the oportunity to go to St. George during our short summer vacation. We had so much fun learning about St. George and its history. The experience was very spiritually educating as well as entertaining. We've learned to appreciate our pioneers who have sacrifice their lives to build this city.

First stop, of course visiting the Beautiful St.George Temple. This temple was built in 1871 and was dedicated in 1877. Such a georgeous temple.

Melati loves the Christus statue inside the visitor center. She kept asking us to take her back there because she wanted to "listen to Jesus speaking".

We love going to the visitor center to listen and to watch some church programs. Our most favorite program is the Plan of Happiness where they took us to a diorama room where everything on the programs were displayed in the room. Our kids thought that the diorama was pretty cool.

such a beautiful day in a beautiful temple ground. So I thought we should take a family picture in front of the temple. Oopps..the timer went off before I got there...oh well!!

But I do love this photo of Hendra and I in front of the Temple, it looks short of Vintage.

Next stop, was to visit Brigham Young Winter Home.

Kids are peeking inside Brigham Young home before the tour guide came to take us inside.

Sister Peterson was our guide for the day. She gave us a very brief tour around the property. This photo was taken when she was showing us the original sewing machine that they used to sew back then. Next to the sewing machine is some kind of manual machine that they used to reel in the cotton to make yarns of wools before they turned it into a fabric/material. I think they call it "Spinner".

She took us around and explained everything and answered every questions we had.

She also explained to us about the history and the importance of growing cottons in St. George and how they got the name "DIXIE".

We toured around inside Brigham Young Home and saw up close all the original furniture and appliances he had during his time living in this beautiful home. This is a picture of an oven/stove/iron inside Brigham Young's kitchen.

This is an original photograph of Brigham Young hanging on the wall of his home.

His dinner table complete with its dinner set.

His bedroom, where he spent most of his time before he passed away in 1877.

at the end of the tour, Sis Peterson took this family photo of us in front of the home. We thank the Lord for this opportunity to learn about the pioneers and the sacrifice they have made for us and we're very grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the history of the church in St. George.

Now he is graduating??? where have the time gone? time sure flies so quickly. Before I know it, Jonas is going to be in 1st grade in the next two weeks. I sure am excited but at the same time I feel sad because my baby boy is growing up too fast.

Summer Fun with Arizona Cousins

These past two weeks we had the honor of watching our nephew and nieces from Arizona while their parents went to the Caribbeans to celebrate their 10th Wedding anniversary. Yes, it's second honeymoon for them.

Our kids have been waiting for this moment forever. The time finally come for all the cousins to get together and have a ball. First thing we did was to take them all to the swimming pool. It was so hot out that everything we did together have involved water activities and eating lots and lots of Popsicles.

Putri and Keala love swimming and they really good at it.

Jonathan took some swimming lesson during his Summer break and he is such a good swimmer. But this time he likes to have floaties on just for fun.

Abby is having a blast in the water. She was flapping her feet and loving the feeling that she could float on the water.
